Publicity and Promotion

Building on the NEPAD African sourcing drive which is being implemented throughout Africa, the promotion for Oil Africa will complement the ongoing initiatives that are being put in place by South African Oil and Gas Alliance to position Cape Town as the ideal supply base for procurement by the Oil majors, regional national oil companies, operators, contractors and service companies.
This promotional activity will include personal visits and invitations to the relevant departments and individuals up and down Africa involved in sourcing all products and services, for the ongoing operation, maintenance, refurbishment and construction of both existing and new energy industry facilities.

Owing to the diversity of the African Oil, Gas & Petrochemical industry, targeted sectors include E&P, offshore, onshore, pipeline and Petro-chemical installations, systems and plants.  Typically attendees who comprise managers, buyers, specifiers and procurement personnel are looking to:

• Check out what’s new
• Develop their ERPS & improve supply channels; communications, logistics, banking etc
• Evaluate products and suppliers & what’s available regionally
• Network with fellow attendees, media and industry bodies and associations
• Resolve specific technical problems
• Source specialist knowledge and expertise and potential business partners
• Update on NEPAD and other regional initiatives

Public Relations & Advertising

Oil Africa’s media partners together with other relevant local, regional and international press will carry an ongoing programme of advertising and editorial coverage in the lead up to the event. The exhibition, exhibitor’s offerings and conference details will all feature.

Complimentary Tickets & Direct Mail

Complimentary admission tickets will be carried in all media partner publications. They will also be mailed to the 2004 visitor database and other prospective buyers.
Each exhibitor will be issued with 250 tickets for distribution to their own prospects or client base.

Extensive regional buyer travel packages are being developed in conjunction with the conference programme to stimulate inbound visitors.
