Fish, Aquaculture and Maritime Africa 2007

The 12th anniversary edition of Fish Africa scheduled for 24 – 26 October 2007 receives a double boost as a new event is launched and Aquaculture comes of age with the UN Food and Aquaculture Organization (FAO) announcing that for the first time the volume of farmed fish consumed nearly equals wild caught product.

The FAO goes on to say Aquaculture is the only way to meet surging world demand.

This has prompted many African governments to embark on extensive Aquaculture development programmes which Aquaculture Africa – the only event of its kind on the continent is well positioned to service.

Another development is the co-location of a new event alongside Fish and Aquaculture Africa.
This event entitled “Maritime Africa” encompasses all aspects of the general maritime industry including ship building, ship repair, workboats, ferries, marine equipment, propulsion systems, paints and coatings, maritime insurance and finance.
